CR-502 High Stability Oscillator Unit fits ICOM IC-706 / IC-706MK2 / IC-756. (Never Used.)
These achieve using a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) or a micro-oven heater, which counters the natural tendency of quartz to drift with temperature changes. Essential for modes sensitive to frequency shifting like RTTY, SSB, weak-signal VHF/UHF and digital modes communications. These crystal units achieving highly accurate and fine-tuned ultra stable performance for long overs and contest environments.
